I love time travel books I love when the author can bring you back to a place and time and make the people there seem real and tangible. And this book is no exception, I loved it!
General Comments
I enjoyed this book I thought it was cool to see characters like Eleanor of Aquitaine and King Henry II come to life and become real people but also having another story happening elsewhere in the same time. I think the way the author explained time travel was interesting, understandable and made sense to a degree.
Characters
I think Hope Walton was a bit naive and seemed to do what she wanted even though she was told to do something else she seemed to bring or escalade trouble and it got on my nerves a bit. But she is also a very smart character I liked her photographic memory and how we could rely on her to know a ton of things. She is also resilient and never gives up on those around her and I liked that she was strong in that aspect and I think on learning about time travel and traveling back in time in the span of a week and handling it as well as she did makes sense.
Over all I think Into the Dim is a really good book! Definitely recommend. Anytime theres time travel and Scotland put together count me in. Im not sure if there is another book planned? But I will defiantly be reading it when it comes out.
