The Girl From Everywhere by Heidi Heilig

4.5 Stars ★★★★

I love a time traveling book, add in time traveling to mythical locations and you've got me sold. I loved the idea for this book and I did enjoy it and would recommend for you to pick it up!

General Comments

we didn't really get to see that many places though so it didn't get to detailed with that. We got an explanation for how the time travelling works by the end its pretty well understood and it makes logical sense for something of fantasy. I liked how the historical was wrapped up with the fantasy but the story more or less revolved around Hawaii in the late 1800′s with a few stops here and there. I got a little confused on certain parts with what was happening but I just kept reading through till I got into it again.

Characters

The Characters were well written and individuals, They each had their flaws and humanness about them. Our main character Nix wasn't an airhead stubborn girl which I was relived about, I hate getting angry at characters and their choices thats probably a main reason why id drop a book. Although their was flirting with some characters in the book it didn't really get anywhere yet. I feel like this book did a good job at skimming over most of what was happening / subject matter and it dived into a story located in Hawaii and then skimmed back out if that makes sense if not ignore that then. I just hope the second books focus more on the time travel and the ship and adventure and not so much on one historical location.
I mean the book was great I enjoyed it and would recommend for someone to pick up, but for me to give it 5 stars and really love it I want a bit more. For me there was something missing that I wanted and I can't put my finger on, I’m not sure if it was something dramatic happening or more romance but Id like to see a bit more fast pace or something.
