General Comments

I enjoyed this book enough to keep reading it but Im not sure if I would read the second or not. The main character's naivety and sometimes stupidness bugged me so much. I get that she had traumas of the past but the whole trusting a prince of hell even if he saved you bugged me and the fact that she couldn't step back and look at the situation. For me, when I don't like a book or parts of a book it usually comes down to a really annoying character that I just wouldn't get along with.

Characters

Charlie/Muse Im not really sure how to summarize her because on one hand she seems like this weak damaged girl who is just struggling to be normal and not a demon who has just barely gotten over her past. And then she supposably is suppose to be super powerful maybe even more so then a full demon or prince of hell. She's naive and sometimes dumb, I just don't like reading those kinds of characters personally.

World building

The world building was interesting we get an idea of how things work. Theres a veil between our world and the netherworld otherwise known as Hell. It is focused mainly in our world with little bits about the netherworld but the story stays here. Its said in the book that people have been talking about Demons in the media a lot more lately and that word has been around a lot more so I wasn't sure if this was meant to say that the world is becoming more aware of them and know the signs of demons around or they know but just pretend everything is normal? I wasn't sure. The next book I think we will be reading a lot more about the netherworld but thats just a guess based on how the first story reads.

Overall I give it 3 stars I would say if this book interests you go for it, it may be for you I just struggled with the characters.

I received this ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review
