While this book definitely had elements that kept me reading and enjoying it I did find it to drag on a bit/ wasn’t clear at some points where I had to re read but still didn’t understand what was going on or what something meant. It felt like I kept waiting for the story to happen and I knew it would be a good story once it got there because it was a really cool idea but it never got to that level for me.more
World Building
The world building was okay I think it would have been better if I understood it more it just wasn’t easy for me to follow.
Characters
The main character Chastity bugged me a little, she said at some point she hated paranoid people but then the entire book she’s paranoid about being found out or someone seeing the darkness in her.
General Comments
Overall I liked the story and the idea, I haven’t really read anything with this kind of idea before so it was interesting. I found the story told what was happening more then showing what really happened, it was like: and then this happened and then we did that and they said this. I don’t know if its because I’m paying more attention now to review a book and I’m just being picky or not maybe its just my opinion idk. So yeah over all id still recommend reading this book it was a fun read and the ending had me excited to read the next one. Id give it 3.5/4 stars
