5 Star Book ★★★★★
This book is everything you’re looking for and MORE!!! I can’t even begin how much I love this series. Okay so overall this book is amazing I can’t sing its praises enough. Anyone asking me what book to read next and I instantly shout to their face Throne of Glass! no matter what kind of genre they like to read.
Throne of Glass is about a young women who’s strong and confident and just plain kick ass in a loveable, in an omg I wish I was you kinda way. Celaena Sardothien is Ardalans number one assassin, at least she was before she was caught in an act of revenge and thrown into a labour camp never to be seen again. Until Prince Dorian gives her a chance at freedom if she only does one tiny thing for him - become the Kings assassin through a contest of thugs, murders and thiefs. This book contains a Bad ass Female lead, Love interests, murder, competition, Myths and magic
World Building - 5 Stars
The world building is great! you actually get a sense of a new world and how things work there. I really enjoyed reading about all the locations Sarah really brought them to life and made you feel like you were there and you weren’t always trying to picture in your head what it looks like, you just know.
Character Building - 5 Stars
Celaena Sardothien
To date I haven’t read such a well rounded flushed out character as Celaena. Over the course of the book(s) you really get to know her, and not just likes and dislikes, you get a sense of who she really is and you feel like you know her personally. She isn’t the typical female lead you see, she’s confident but not obnoxious, She doesn’t sit around in pity for her life. She stands up says screw the world I’m gunna do me. Its refreshing to read and Ive empathized with her on so many levels I feel like we could be the same person sometimes.
Prince Dorian Havilliard
Dorian is the typical YA prince, he’s a good character he’s charming, sweet and thoughtful. He knows deep down what is right and wrong but is still lacking a bit of courage to stand up against is tyrant father. I know for a fact his character develops further in the series so hang in there guys!
Chaol Westfall
What to say about Chaol I think he grows on you slowly the same way we see him growing closer to Celaena and his relationship with Dorian. When we meet him he seems like he could be a hateful brute of a guy and you won’t want to like him but when we see him with Dorian we see he’s just trying to protect his Prince and best friend.
These are just some of the main characters you will read about and I think all of them are written just beautifully and each have their own personalities I wouldn’t change a thing.
Predictability - 4.5 Stars
I find when I read I’m always trying to predict what happens next or what the ending will be like and I hate when I’m right because it can be pretty boring. But while reading this book I don’t know if i was just to excited to stop or what but I found I was always wondering what was next and not even guessing.
Overall I give this book 5 Stars and I only do that to books that I love love looove. The can’t put down, Re-read 3 times before the next one comes out kinda book. You won’t regret reading Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas trust me.
